Justin Timberlake Issues Apology to Britney Spears & Janet Jackson

Justin Timberlake is apologizing to ex Britney Spears and Janet Jackson.

The Man of the Woods entertainer issued a statement following increased attention after the release of the Framing Britney Spears documentary and the Super Bowl, which led people to discuss the way he handled his break-up with the 39-year-old Glory singer and how he handled the fallout from the infamous 2004 performance with the Control icon.

"I've seen the messages, tags, comments, and concerns and I want to respond. I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right. I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism," he wrote.

"I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed. I also feel compelled to respond, in part, because everyone involved deserves better and most importantly, because this is a larger conversation that I wholeheartedly want to be part of and grow from," he said.

"The industry is flawed. It sets men, especially white men, up for success. It's designed this way. As a man in a privileged position I have to be vocal about this. Because of my ignorance, I didn't recognize it for all that it was while it was happening in my own life but I do not want to ever benefit from others being pulled down again. I have not been perfect in navigating all of this throughout my career. I know this apology is a first step and doesn't absolve the past. I want to take accountability for my own missteps in all of this as well as be part of a world that uplifts and supports. I care deeply about the wellbeing of the people I love and have loved. I can do better and I will do better."

New York City Announces Plan to Reopen Stadiums & Arenas for Concerts – Find Out When!

New York City Announces Plan to Reopen Stadiums & Arenas for Concerts – Find Out When!

New York is opening up again.

Stadiums and arenas in New York with a capacity of 10,000 people or more will be allowed to reopen later this month on February 23, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Friday (February 12).

The venues can run with a capacity of 10% according to the announcement, and all fans and staff planning to attend an event will need to provide a negative PCR test within the 72 hours prior, via NBC New York.

Fans will also have their temperature checked upon entering the venue and will be required to wear face coverings while in attendance. The city will host concerts for the first time in a year as part of the New York Arts Revival program, which was announced in January.

More than 300 pop-up gigs will take place between February and September at venues including the Apollo Theater, Harlem Stage and Alice Busch Opera Theatre.

Indoor arenas must also have enhanced air filtration, ventilation and purification standards, as well as socially distanced seating configurations.

“While we continue to fight Covid on multiple fronts, we must also get this economy reopened intelligently and in a balanced way. Live sports and entertainment have long been engrained in the fabric of New York and the inability to hold events has only added to the isolation we have all felt at the hands of this virus," the Governor said.

Andrew Cuomo also recently stopped ghosting this celebrity.

Jamie Dornan Looks Back on His Short-Lived Modeling Career & Brief Stint as a Reality TV Contestant

Jamie Dornan Looks Back on His Short-Lived Modeling Career & Brief Stint as a Reality TV Contestant

Jamie Dornan is opening up about his early career as a model and his time spent as a reality TV contestant!

In an interview for SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, Jamie shocked his Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar co-stars Annie Mumolo and Kristen Wiig by revealing that he once appeared on the reality TV show Model Behavior.

The Fifty Shades of Grey actor explained, "The truth behind that Andy, was I'd been at university for a year. I used to play a lot of rugby at school. And I was very sporty and I was playing rugby at uni and drinking a lot. And I decided I was going to drop out of university. 'Cause it just didn't, it wasn't the right space for me at the time."

Ultimately it was Jamie's sister who pushed him to audition for the show. "This was sort of almost pre-reality TV," he continued. Well, you know, like it wasn't like, it wasn't even being pitched to us. It was just like, we didn't really know what it was. My sister says, 'You should go.' And I said, 'What is it?' And she says, 'To be a model.' And I was like, 'Why would I want to be a model, what a model,' like it’s the last, no kid where I'm from grows up wanting to be a model. I'll tell you that. And so I was like, 'No, I'm not doing it.' She's just do it, do it. And then I convinced one of my mates to come with me."

"That your parents made you try out for a reality show. This is not what I expected, go on," Andy joked.

"This is like pre-American Idol," Jamie added. "This is like, nobody knew we didn't know what a reality TV show was. It wasn't even sold as that. And I'm, I convinced him to get out of bed. I went and he got kicked out early doors and I like did all right. I actually didn’t even do that well on the show, but it got me enough to sort of move to London. And that was it. And then like two months later, I was working at a bar full time and I'd moved to London and I convinced everyone to let me like follow some dream. I mean, I, I never wanted to be a model. I hated it, but I'd acted at school and I'd always done that too. So it was, it felt like a bit of a gateway into that. So yeah, it was a crazy time."

Jamie also recently revealed whether he'd rather be in a book club with Dakota Johnson or Anastasia Steele. Find out who he picked!

Maren Morris & Ryan Hurd Get Candid About Finding Love & Their First Duet, ‘Chasing After You’

Maren Morris & Ryan Hurd Get Candid About Finding Love & Their First Duet, ‘Chasing After You’

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd are opening up about their romance.

The country stars got candid in an interview with CBS This Morning.

"We've written a lot of songs together and for each other. But this is kind of the first time we've stepped out in this way," Ryan said.

"Chasing After You" is the couple's first duet together, released on Friday (February 12).

"It really reminded me of Ryan and my story, getting together, when we first met," Maren added.

The two first met as songwriters back in 2013, and wrote the song "Last Turn Home" in their first writing session.

"It's like, 'Hey, Tim McGraw recorded this song, we should probably keep writing together," Maren explained.

"Maren is really good. That was it. I mean, I was always just in awe with the way she could sing and the way that she could write, like, just different songs than anybody else. So that, I mean, that's intimidating and special at the same time," Ryan explained.

Ryan proposed to Maren in 2017 in a rowboat at his family's lake house in Michigan.

"I was being a nightmare that weekend. I wanted to be engaged. I also was like, 'Well, it's Fourth of July weekend. If he doesn't propose to me this week, then he probably never will," she laughingly said.

"I had this ring in my pocket for like a month. It was in my jeans. Like, that's some country stuff right there," Ryan added.

"And then Ryan's like, 'Oh, I think I forgot your cigarettes.' And I literally, this is what I said before I was proposed to. I said, 'Then why the hell are we out here?' And I look back, and he's on one knee...with a ring," Maren said.

They were married in 2018 and last March, their son Hayes was born, and Maren endured postpartum depression afterward.

"It was sort of like, how do I help her without agreeing with her? I'm not gonna go do that. I'm not-- I mean, I'll go sleep in this other room if you want me to, but we never even did that...it was just stickin' around and letting her move past that moment," Ryan said.

"I honestly, I watched my interview with you [CBS This Morning] back in August, and I was still in it when I was talking to you, even if it had lightened, the fog, at that point. I just look at how different of a woman you were talking to just, you know, six months ago. So it is crazy how it takes a while for it to lift. It's not overnight," Maren reflected.

The two also talked about working on new music.

"And as much as I miss being on stage, this is the only time I'll probably ever have, you know, until I retire that I have this time to myself with my family, with my creativity, with my songs. So I'm trying to really just not take it for granted," Maren said.

"I love that you think you're gonna retire. That's.. that's never gonna happen," Ryan joked.

"Yeah, probably not," Maren said.

Find out why Maren is among many stars who made headlines for speaking out against another performer.
